MINUTES OF PTA MEETING HELD ON September 2011.
The PTA meeting for the non-board classes (1st to 9TH AND 11TH class) and board classes (for 10th and 12th ) was conducted on 3.9.11
The Meeting was conducted at 12.00 noon and continued till 3.00 pm. The parents of slow learners, low achievers, were called and Principal Mrs. S. George interact with each and every parent individually , discussed with them about aabout the performance of their ward and insisted that the parent should take more effort in overseeing the student at home.
Principal Sir insisted on the following points –
- Parents should individually inspect the student at home.
- The student should prepare their home time-table for all the subjects.
- The student should write down the answer and not revise orally only.
- Parent should visit the school regularly and meet the subject teacher at least fortnightly.
- the student should ask the problem, doubts , and the difficulties faced by thm in a particular subject to their concerned subject- teacher.
- the student should avoid absentism and parent should insist on regularity of their ward in the school.
- the board classes ward parents were asked to chek the copies ( CW& HW) of their ward regularly.
- The Parents were also told about the proper diet of their wards.
- The paerents were also told about the cleanliness and proper hygiene of their wards and emphasis was given on the discipline of theier ward.
- The performance of the children of Board classes was also discussed and worked out a action plan.
FEEDBACK- the parents responded positively towards the suggestion, given by the principal & concerned teacher. They also put forward the problems faced by their children in the class , and the reason for low performance of their wards.
FOLLOW UP – the parent who did not attend the meeting were called in the next week. Principal Madam Mrs. S. George also took a meeting of the teachers teaching board classes and suggested measure to improve the performance of slow learner by taking weekly test , remedial classes during Sunday & morning assembly.
Overall meeting was fruitful.
